GREEN AWARD for the BURROW in its first year!

The Burrow has been congratulated by Cllr Robin Musgrave as joint winner of the West Devon Borough Council – Mayor’s Green Award 2013.
The Mayor seeks out a West Devon resident or organisation for recognition, which has done something particularly noteworthy within the Borough, or has enhanced the reputation of the Borough on the national stage, or has made a significant contribution to the conservation and protection of the natural environment of West Devon.
The Mayor of West Devon will be holding a Reception on Friday 10 May in the Council Chamber, to present this years Award to representatives of the underground shop.

The Spinning/Craft Group is now held every Wednesday 12 noon to 3p.m. Come and join us and have some fun with a spinning wheel!

The Book Club meets on the last Wednesday evening each month and last Thursday afternoon each month. Everyone welcome to join.

In December 2001 the village shop and post office in Exbourne with Jacobstowe in rural West Devon closed. This meant that villagers would have to make a journey of at least 5 miles each way to reach the nearest town for shops and services. Now after 10 years of hard work and fund raising the village has its own shop and cafe and its underground.
