Our book club choice this month is Linda Fairstein's thriller, The Deadhouse.

Our sessions are on

Wednesday, 1st May at 20.00 or
Thursday, 2nd May at 14.15

All are welcome and we look forward to hearing your views.

The Weds evening session costs £2 and includes a free glass of wine.

Our last book, The Snow Child, had varying responses, with fantasy lovers and fantasy haters. 

We look forward to the discussions generated by The Deadhouse.

    In December 2001 the village shop and post office in Exbourne with Jacobstowe in rural West Devon closed. This meant that villagers would have to make a journey of at least 5 miles each way to reach the nearest town for shops and services. Now after 10 years of hard work and fund raising the village has its own shop and cafe and its underground.
