Grampound lost its shop and Post Office in June this year and have an enthusiastic team working hard to set up their own community shop. We wish the good luck with their project.
Recently Margie Lundie & Annette Egerton DBE travelled up from Grampound near Truro to visit The Burrow and talk to some of the people running it. They were able to meet Sally Horden and some of the volunteers working in the shop and pick their brains on everything from stock control to raising finance.

AuthorIn December 2001 the village shop and post office in Exbourne with Jacobstowe in rural West Devon closed. This meant that villagers would have to make a journey of at least 5 miles each way to reach the nearest town for shops and services. Now after 10 years of hard work and fund raising the village has its own shop and cafe and its underground. Archives
