The newly revised website for The Underground Shop THE BURROW has now been launched hot on the heels of the official opening of the community shop at Exbourne, Devon.
The site aims to keep people up to date with this exciting local project which is literally ground breaking.

I am pleased you found the items on our site interesting. It is an exciting project which has developed over a ten year period but has now started a really important phase with the opening of The Burrow, which now has to survive as a viable community shop, café and space.

In December 2001 the village shop and post office in Exbourne with Jacobstowe in rural West Devon closed. This meant that villagers would have to make a journey of at least 5 miles each way to reach the nearest town for shops and services. Now after 10 years of hard work and fund raising the village has its own shop and cafe and its underground.
